CKBR (Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler) NARI Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodelers (CKBRs) provide remodeling services specific to kitchens and bathrooms. To become a CKBR, candidates must possess skills and knowledge focused on the requirement of materials, layout, and installation of kitchens and bathrooms. To qualify for the CKBR designation, applicants must meet all of the following:

CLC (Certified Lead Carpenter) Lead Carpenters need to know more than just the trade basics. They are the ones responsible for customer contact and communication, supervision of subcontractors and employees, managing the job site, scheduling, and ensuring safety, so their exam covers all those issues in addition to a broad array of trade skills. |

AKBD® (Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer) The premiere hallmark for kitchen and bath professionals, NKBA Certification is based on in-depth testing and extensive industry experience. NKBA certified designers must also meet annual continuing education requirements. The NKBA certifies kitchen and bath design professionals in various stages of expertise: Certified professional with a minimum of 2 years of kitchen/bath industry experience – they are knowledgeable in product selection, space planning, materials, and finishes. An AKBD must meet specific educational requirements, as well as pass a comprehensive academic exam. |
