Race for the Cure
The Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
About Babes for a Cure
Babes for a Cure is a team created by a group of friends that participates in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. They have had previous experience with the race and Susan G. Komen Foundation, but have been a team since 2005. They have grown from 13 to 50 participants in three years and have raised almost $10,000 to date. They have held successful fundraisers and have been featured in the Washington Post's Weekend Guide. Babes for the Cure sets the bar higher and higher each year and will continue to grow and go above and beyond their goals.
The team has created partnerships with several local businesses, with RJK Construction being it's prime sponsor. RJK Construction has supported Babes for a Cure for two years now and the team greatly appreciates them for providing them with wonderful team shirts, pledges, and for their motivation and support.
Thanks to RJK Construction
I would like to personally thank RJK Construction for sponsoring Babes for a Cure these past two years. Because of them we were able to buy new team shirts and recruit more members. They also helped all of us boost our donation amounts by offering great incentives such as team hats in 2006. I am very thankful to have had Robert and Suzanne Kalmin offer to sponsor our team again this year and contribute to making Babes for a Cure even bigger and better than its previous years. Thank you, RJK Construction, for being so supportive of Babes for a Cure and making us your official charity. We greatly appreciate all that you do for us and look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.
