Project Goal:
: Take the outdated, cumbersome and inadequately lit kitchen and turn it into a sleek modern kitchen with ambiance.
Results:
The Absolute Black Granite helps accentuate the Cherry cabinets in this Falls Church Home. We looked at knocking out walls in this small kitchen, but found that creative solutions to space issues made it function, as the client wanted, without going beyond the original space. By partially removing the wall, creating an arch, and installing a new glass entry door, we completely opened up the area in this small kitchen and illuminated the space. The recess lights highlight the area. The under-cabinet lights help with the task area on the countertop. Furthermore, the pendent light above the sink serves as both accent lighting and task lighting. The tile backsplash is capped with the matching cabinet trim and the décor row leans towards a modern style. We used extra tall cabinets to provide the storage they needed.
"The sign of a most excellent contractor is not just going to them for your first job after looking for one for years, but coming back for five more projects! RJK redid my wiring and plumbing, kitchen, upstairs bath, archways to dining & living rooms, and restructured my lovely sitting porch....this was after their first job of redoing my entire basement: inspirational laundry/shower/bathroom and basement workshop with stained glass windows! Need I say more?"
