Project Goal:
For this Reston, Virginia Kitchen Remodel we needed to create a space that allows for more natural light from the 12 foot atrium’s sky lights into the small cramped kitchen. In addition, to creating a more functional space to allow for both maximizing the storage space and allow for entertaining guest without crowding the chef’s work space.
Results:
Opened the main atrium dividing wall that inhibited the natural light, proper working space and hindered the chef from speaking with their guests during meal preparation. This creates a kitchen that can showcase the chef talents and Bertch Legacy cabinets. The 14” Giallo Ornamental Granite over hang allows for entertainment and seating for guest. With the natural light illuminating the space, the custom shelf creates a second focal point as well as an extra location for plants. This Bertch Legacy cabinets in a Quincy Birch door and Dawn glazing presents a warm inviting element the kitchen lacked prior to this Reston Virginia Kitchen Remodel.
