Project Goal:
Take a big U-shaped kitchen and transform it into a kitchen with an island/breakfast area for the family. Furthermore, reuse the existing cabinets due to budget restraints, plus remove the center florescent lights.
Project Challenge:
Stripping the kitchen cabinets and repainting them with oil based paint while taking away two end cabinets and the countertop, without damaging. Remove center florescent lighting to accommodate six new recessed lights.
Result:
The newly refurbished cabinets with a matching butcher-block top island/breakfast area; new recess lighting, new sink with pull handle faucet and a gleaming Luna Pearl granite countertop were installed to allow for this new refurbished kitchen. The result is a new stunning functional kitchen that allows for an easier entry to the living room from the kitchen area by placing butcher-block island/breakfast on a diagonal.
