Project Goal:
An Old Country Italian kitchen with state of the art appliances made to accommodate both chefs. So get your passports ready and travel to “Little Italy” in Virginia…..
Project Challenge:
To eliminate the old sink and dated gas stove, refrigerator, microwave hood vent, kitchen cabinets and the wall that divides the kitchen from the old dining room to allow for more space. Furthermore, bringing in that feeling of Old Italian Country that welcomes their guests in.
Result:
Continues flow of countertop prep space, which allows for two Cast Iron-Roussillon Red Kohler Under Mount Sinks; Smart Divide Under-counter Kitchen Sink: (32x32) and an under counter entertainment sink. This full overlay Prestige Fifth Avenue Cabinetry with Sea-Spray Painted Finish with a Rust Glaze doubled as the main feature while concealing the following appliances: a Sub-Zero Panel: side-by-side refrigerator- freezer with ice and water dispenser, cabinet with a tamarind door to hide microwave oven, Bosch Panel Dishwasher and hidden double trash cans. A peninsula with 12” granite overhang was installed, which created a double seating eating area. Anderson Outward Swing Patio Doors with Grids, a Retractable Insect Screen and Oil Rubbed Bronze Handles to match pendant lighting, faucets and cabinet handles and pulls. Gas six burner with center griddle Wolf Range above a tile back splash featuring a Danze Oil Rubbed Bronze Pot Filler above. Up further a custom design and created hood vent cover to meet the old worldly charm and display family platters. (Hood vent cover conceals a Ventahood 48" Pro Hood Liner with Triple Blower). In addition, an extended diamond backsplash that acts as a flawless windowsill. The red diamond tiles help create an eye flow to both sinks and leans as an accent coordination to the red specks in the Golden Oak Granite. Tile installed in a spiral floor pattern to allow easier flow to capture all facets of this Old Italian Country kitchen.
